You don’t have to go to expensive doctors to find natural ways to cure acne. These alternative acne cures frequently are more effective than the high priced doctor’s remedies. You may need to combine a few of the solutions for best results.
Acne is not just a skin ailment but also a systemic problem and appears for a variety of reasons. The end-result is an abundance of androgen and too much sebum. Lemon juice also has antiseptic properties to prevent the infection by bacteria which contributes to outbreaks. The juice of half a lemon should be plenty, applied with a cotton ball. You might need to dilute this juice with distilled water if you have sensitive skin. After the lemon juice has dried, rinse your face with cool water.
One alternative cure for acne which is forgotten by many is calamine lotion. Calamine lotion works by drying the oil on the skin, soothes irritation and contains zinc oxide, which is both an astringent and a drying agent. You can apply calamine lotion to problem areas before bed and wash it off in the morning. After all, walking around calamine lotion pink all day may be far worse than having acne! Caldryl with calamine lotion can also be effective. While less effective than solely using calamine, it’s clear enough for daytime use.
The last of the natural cures for acne we’ll be talking about here is tea tree oil. If you have sensitive skin, however, dilute this with aloe vera, a mild astringent or water, 1 part tea tree oil to 19 parts of one of these. You can adjust this ratio until you find one which works best for your skin. Tea tree oil acts as an antibacterial agent, helping to keep your breakouts mild and farther between.
